Silent Waters is among the newest and most
luxurious private estates in the Caribbean.
Distinguished by its remarkable architecture and
design, breathtaking setting, exquisite
accommodations and superior service, Silent
Waters offers the most discerning clients a perfect
vacation experience.
Located atop one of the highest mountains in the
area, Silent Waters’ eighteen acres of lush
grounds overlook Montego Bay and the Caribbean
Sea. An entrance drive edged with stately Royal
Palms leads through black and gold wrought iron
gates, custom designed and imported from
Thailand, to the estate’s twelve buildings,
helicopter pad and tennis court positioned over five
of its acres. Colorful gardens, accented with
ancient carved Balinese, Burmese, Thai and
Chinese statuary combine with serene lily ponds
and turquoise pools stocked with Koi fish to
separate the various living spaces within the
estate, and are perfect for meditation and yoga
retreats. The densely and pristine wooded area
surrounding Silent Waters ensures absolute
privacy, while sophisticated surveillance systems
provide security.
The nine hundred square foot main pavilion
serves as the centre of the estate and its common
living areas. A pair of 17th Century Buddhist
temple attendant statues, a Burmese monastery
bell, and an 18th Century Thai bible chest highlight
its appointments. One hundred feet of sliding
glass doors disappear into pocket walls to present
a magnificent panorama of sea, sky and
mountains. This pavilion also features a Yamaha
Disklavier baby grand piano of highly polished
dark walnut, and is equipped with a surround-
sound home theater with 48-inch television, VCR
and DVD player, a 200-CD programmable music
system, as well as a Pentium III computer,
programmed with games for adults and children.
Just steps across the pavilion’s marble terrace is
a breakfast gazebo, the dining pavilion, the
commercial-style kitchen, and a further gazebo
equipped with a bar, television, VCR and DVD
player, comfortably furnished with cushioned
seating for twenty-two. A wonderful eighty-foot
freeform and infinity-edged swimming pool wraps
around the breakfast gazebo, dining pavilion and
sunning area.
Five separate villa suites, offering a total of nine air-
conditioned bedrooms, are placed with further
privacy throughout the grounds. Each perfectly
appointed villa suite boasts Italian marble floors
and terraces, antique Oriental rugs, original oil
paintings, and offers a sitting area with writing
desk as well as a Brazilian granite wet bar with
coffee maker, refrigerator and icemaker. All five
have glamorous marble and granite bathrooms
fitted with JADO fixtures, and are equipped with
televisions with satellite, VCR and DVD players,
stereo system and telephone system with
intercom reaching all other suites, the common
bar, kitchen and house manager’s office. Each
has louvered walls opening to glorious views and
refreshing trade winds, and its own sunning
terrace furnished with teak chaise lounges and
tables and bordered by exotic gardens.
A beautifully landscaped path leads up to the very
private and gated owners’ villa which can
accommodate an additional two guests in its air-
conditioned master suite. This luxurious villa is
completely self-contained with sitting room,
kitchen, dining room and bathroom with spacious
indoor and outdoor showers and waterfall. Guests
of this villa will enjoy its private infinity-edged
swimming pool with furnished sundeck. Perfect for
honeymoons.
Silent Waters provides the ideal location for family
reunions, corporate retreats and weddings.
The excellent staff of sixteen includes a chef,
butler, house manager, housekeeping,
maintenance and security personnel.
Mandatory gourmet dining plans, consisting of
breakfast, lunch, late afternoon hors d’oeuvres and
dinner, rate as follows:
~Adults: $65 per person per day
~Children aged 3-12 years: $32.50 per child per
day
These plans are subject to 8.25 % tax.
Wine, liquor, soft drinks and bottled water are
additional and billed locally.
Round trip airport (Montego Bay) transfers are
complimentary. A driver and 8-passenger air-
conditioned van is available at the rate of $775 per
week, including one tank of fuel. A second 7-
passenger air-conditioned vehicle with driver is
available at the rate of $775 per week, or for a
minimum of 3 days. A 27-passenger mini-bus is
available for excursions at the rate of $275 per day.
Van and driver services are subject to 16.5 % tax.
Located at the highest point, the property's heliport
offers multi-directional landings and take-offs, and
is equipped with night-lighting and lighted
windsock.
